EIGHT DOWNS MEN TO REPRESENT BAFANA BAFANA IN 2026 FIFA WORLD CUP
The South African Men’s National will be making its way to the 2026 FIFA World Cup and Head Coach, Hugo Broos, joined by the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, announced his final 26-man squad on Wednesday night in Pretoria.

Eight of the Brazilians have made it to the prestigious squad that will be representing the country in the global tournament. Ronwen Williams – who has also been named the captain of Bafana Bafana – Khuliso Mudau, Aubrey Modiba, Khulumani Ndamane, Teboho Mokoena, Jayden Adams, Iqraam Rayners and Themba Zwane are among the 26 men to represent South Africa in the World Cup.
South Africa have been drawn in Group A where they have been pitted against Mexico, South Korea and Czech Republic. Mexico will play Bafana Bafana in the curtain raiser of the tournament at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.

The 2026 FIFA World will be hosted by Mexico, the United States of America and Canada. The tournament kicks off on the 11th of June 2026 and will conclude on the 19th of July 2026.
As part of their preparation for the biggest footballing tournament in the world, Bafana Bafana will host Nicaragua for a friendly match on Friday, 29 May 2026 (kick-off 18H00).
